Gnocchi—i’ve been told this one is really difficult, but the videos on instagram seem simple. I had some brown butter mushroom gnocchi that really changed my life in 2022 i want to replicate that
A roast—i have a little slow cooker now and i want to use it to cook the really fatty, tough, and gelatinous cuts of beef and lamb for hair and nail health. I’m starting with a very classic pot roast but i want to get into more mediterranean flavors [Editors note: since i wrote this i made the pot roast and it was so good! I need to find a cheaper cut.]
Croissants—i’ve seen instagram videos for this one too and it actually does look extremely difficult. i want to make the pistachio cream croissants but i don’t think i can afford pistachios
Mayonnaise—emulsion wise, this is my year
Wedding cake—for a wedding
More shapes of pasta— 2021 and 2022 were all about making a really long linguine noodles and serving them and garlic and olive oil. It’s a great bit that’s never going to get old, but I find myself wanting to make new shapes of pasta, preferably without buying any more kitchen utensils. There must be a way to make orecchiette with a spoon, right?
Something with harissa—what do you make with harissa idk
Sourdough baking—i need to wean myself off of baking powder and soda fr

Pasta–Making pasta from scratch by stealing my roommate's pasta maker. Thinking about making some lemon shrimp linguine since the spring and summer are coming up. Would also want to play around with other shapes as well re: Sarah.
Espresso Martini– I love a good espresso martini from [redacted] in Austin. Would love to make one from my home and perfect it. Maybe maek roommates try and like?
Bread– any bread without messing it up :-)
Hope you’re cooking well in 2023! Let us know what’s on your list 🤍🤍
